Welcome to the California Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) education resources website! Here you will find a clearinghouse of quality education and outreach materials designed to communicate the purpose, benefits, and science behind California’s network of MPAs.

The educational resources found here were developed both internally and by our partner organizations to enhance MPA education and outreach for the Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA). Most of the products and programs are available for immediate download and many have been endorsed by California’s Department of Fish and Game and State Parks as templates for expanding MPA education and outreach throughout the state. The materials can be easily adapted to suit an organization’s MPA educational needs. Using these interpretive products throughout the state will help to establish an identity and recognition for the important network of MPAs along California’s coast.
